System Requirements
Prepaid Internet
When you provide our prepaid internet service you will not need a local server to operate the program as all PIN authentications
are handled off site. You simply download and install the SmartTimer program on your client PC/s.
The client system requirements are:
- Platform Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista*, Windows 7*
- RAM 256mb minimum
- CPU Pentium III class or higher
- HD Space 2mb
* UAC is required to be turned off for running under Vista or Windows 7
Prepaid and Postpaid
For full service internet cafes, SmartTimer is installed on the client pc(s) and the Administration Module is installed on the front desk machine. The requirements for the front desk machine are:
- Platform Windows 2000, XP, Vista*, Windows 7*
- RAM 512mb minimum
- CPU Pentium III class or higher
- HD Space 25mb
* UAC is required to be turned off for running under Vista or Windows 7
After many months of research, we have found that SmartTimer is THE only way to go. Once the system was loaded onto our internet cafe machines, it has run trouble free now for a couple of years or more... No issues whatsoever. We recently added the SmartTimer Hotspot wireless system in addition to the internet Cafe and have had no real issues to date.
